Chivas Regal 25 years old is only available as a strictly limited edition in individually numbered bottles. Jim Murray scored 95 points in the Whiskey Bible in 2010 and scored his Scottish Blend of the Year in the 18s and higher. Chivas Regal 25 is a delicious mix of peach and almond tones.

Chivas Regal 25 was the first luxury whiskey in the world to be listed in the American high society in New York in 1909 as the first whiskey that was at least 25 years old. In the 1920s, during the First World War and the ban, the Chivas Regal 25 disappeared and became a much sought after collector’s item. Only in 1950 did Chivas Regal return as a 12-year-old whiskey. In 2007, Master Blender Colin Scott, inspired by the original recipe, recreated Chivas Regal 25 to celebrate where the story began.

Chivas is one of the most popular brands in the whiskey industry and today I’m going to check the “expression” of this distillery – Chivas Regal for 25 years. This “quarter-century” bottle comes in limited quantities due to the lack of ghosts that give his soul 25 years. it’s because Chivas created his original mix in Aberdeen in 1909 and was 25 years old. It was the first whiskey to create the ‘luxury blended Scotch whiskey’ concept. The original 25 years was a sensation, especially on the other side of the Atlantic in New York. Unfortunately, when the ban hit the United States, this legendary expression disappeared until 2007 when it was reborn by Master Distiller Colin Scott.
